Dr. Meghan Lewis
Executive Board Member, Board President

A second generation Euro-American, cisgender daughter of bi-parents, and intentional solo parent of a fabulous teen, Meghan is proud to be a reproductive rights advocate for LGBTQIA families. Her background includes home-birth midwifery apprenticeships, working as a birth doula, and as the family advocacy program liaison with Our Family Coalition and Oakland Unified School District.  Additionally, she continues to offer perinatal mental health counseling and consulting from preconception to early postpartum. Meghan has served on the Board of Directors for BirthWays in Berkeley and Then Comes Baby in Oakland. Currently she sits on the Board of Directors of the California League of Cities LGBTQ Leadership Education Institute and is the Founding Executive Director of the LGBTQ Perinatal Wellness Center.  Dr. Lewis is dedicated to the community health of the LGBTQIA-headed families and is compiling an anthology of essays on queer conception and birth entitled, In the Family Way.

Oloya Adedapoidle Tyehimba-Ford
Executive Board Member, Public Health & Community Relations Liaison

Oloya Adedapoidle Tyehimba-Ford is a holistic and spiritual practitioner, midwife, and doula holding numerous degrees and certifications in nursing, birth coaching, iridology, esthetics, as well as indigenous and complementary healing. She is co-founder of the Khepra Holistic Institute and co-creator of the Khepric Transformational Platform both dedicated to complete wellness through holistic, indigenous, and naturopathic modalities. Oloya also offers ritual and birthing ceremonies, rites of passages, Kemetic and ancestral cosmology, birth charts, life readings, and divination. Additionally, she is a mother of five children ranging from mid-thirties to preteen and grandmother of one.

Jennifer Allen, BA
Executive Board Member, Chief Financial Officer

A queer woman from the blue collar suburbs of Hartford, CT, Jenn has worked in the non-profit sector for nearly 20 years and most recently on the Outreach and Membership Services team of Earth-justice. Jenn also serves on the Board of the Meriama Fund and is a former board member of the Harvey Milk Institute. She also enjoys working with resilient and driven teams to achieve a just world for all and especially the most marginalized among us. She is dedicated to equity and intersectionality in all her work.

Alisa K. Moore, MS
Executive Board Member, Secretary 

Alisa is committed to educating and supporting all people in creating families in the ways that work best for them.  Alisa conceived her son through donor insemination in 1993.  Hoping to build community as a new mom, Alisa co-founded Our Family in 1994.  She went on to teach "How to Create your LGBTQ+ Family" at Harvey Milk and presented the topic of "Creating Lesbian Families" for Stanford's Physician Assistants Program.  Alisa has been a panelist at Gender Spectrum where she has spoken about her experience managing a program serving LGBTQ+ youth and their caregivers, as well as raising a gender expansive child.  Alisa is a long time child welfare programs administrator with a focus on the creation of LGBTQ+ families through adoption, and providing support to LGBTQ+ children and their families in the foster care system.  She served on the Board Program Committee with Family Builders by Adoption and is thrilled to bring her experience and vision to the LGBTQ Perinatal Wellness Center.
